Scott Haldane In-depth course Diving Medicine "Lifelong diving"

November14-22, 2015

Available seats: 1

There is now a trend for Scuba diving to begin at an ever younger age, while at the other end of the scale, people are diving to increasingly old ages. In addition, many people start diving later in life, often after retirement. The 23rd Scott Haldane in-depth course, "Lifelong diving" addresses diving medical aspects of all phases in the life of the diver. The diver is viewed both from a medical, physiological and anatomical perspective and with regard to dive safety, including the most common diving pathology in every phase of life. Attention is also paid to the differences between men and women and the specific circumstances of the professional diver. This is a very interesting course for any diving doctor set in a fabulous five-star location.

The Scott Haldane Foundation (SHF) has established an internationally accredited training program that fulfils all of the requirements of the European Committee for Hyperbaric Medicine (ECHM). This course is part of the internationally recognized certification for Diving Medicine Physicians, and is accredited for Continuous Medical Education (CME) for Diving Medicine Physicians and the Medical Examiners of Divers by the European College of Baromedicine (ECB). For more details see SHF- course structure.

Registration for this week is no longer possible. There are still a view spaces available on the course from 20-28th of November.

For example barotrauma is a key element to the topic of Children and Diving, so will be fully discussed therein, but does have significance in other sessions. With each theme, the consequences for the diving medical examination will be discussed, as will the acute treatment of victims of a diving accident.
