Topics Advanced Course - Diving Medicine in Case Studies

Each participant will be asked in advance to submit a case that falls within one of the above themes. The case may relate to the medical examination of divers, diving accidents or treatment of a diving accident.
The case will be presented by the author after which it will be discussed in small groups. After discussion of the cases, the experts will summarize the cases, comparing solutions to the applicable international guidelines.

Number of participants:
Given the structure and the interactive nature of the course up to 25 people can participate.
Entrance level:
The course is open to doctors and dentists with a proven knowledge of diving medicine at a minimum of level Medical Examiner or Divers (ECHM level 1).
Registration:
Due to the necessary preparations for both students and staff, the registration closes May 1st. Case studies must be submitted no later than May 22nd. Further details will be provided in your registration confirmation.
Accreditation:
The course is part of the international certification of Diving Medicine Physicians and has been accredited with 16 CME points for Diving Medicine Physicians and Medical Examiners of Divers.
Certificate:
On completion of the course, all participants will receive a certificate of attendance.
Course materials:
The course manual will be distributed on the first day of the course.
Costs:
Based on all course materials, coffee, tea, dinner on June 12th and lunch on June 13th the course fee is €595. Lunch on June 12th, hotel room and breakfast are optional and can be indicated on registration form. For registrations after May 10th 2015, a late registration fee of €45 extra applies.

Cancellation policy
The following cancellations rules are applicable:
- For cancellation by the participant more than three months prior to the starting date of the activity, there is an administration fee of €50.00, excl. any ticket cancellation fee.
- For cancellation by the participant between three months and two months prior to the starting date of the activity, 75% of the total course fee, excl. any ticket cancellation costs, is payable.
- For cancellation by the participant less than two months prior to the starting date of the activity, 100% of the total course fee, excl. any ticket cancellation costs, is payable.
All cancellations must be in writing or by confirmed e-mail, addressed to the Scott Haldane Foundation.
For the periods indicated, receipt of the notice of cancellation by the Scott Haldane Foundation determines the date.
