General Information
Venue:
The course is held at the sunniest, warmest and most beautiful place in the kingdom of The Netherlands: Bonaire, Dutch Caribean. We use the Hamlet Oasis resort. This quiet resort is
located just north of Kralendijk directly on the sea. In the immediate vicinity there are many restaurants with a view over the intense blue Caribbean Sea, Flamingo airport is about a 10-minute drive away. The optional breakfast, because it can also be made in the room yourself, is available every morning from 7 am. at the adjacent Rum Runners restaurant. Right next to this restaurant is the well-equipped conference room where the course is given. In front of the resort are some of the almost 70 beautiful shore dive sites that Bonaire has. Nowhere in the world is diving so easy. Wherever you want, park the car, put on diving gear and walk into the sea. The underwater world is beautiful with colorful corals and fish in the incredibly clear, warm water. A 2-tank boat dive trip to Klein Bonaire, the uninhabited island off the coast of Bonaire, is part of the standard diving package. Because you have your own car throughout the week (shared by three), land excursions can also easily be made, for example, to the wonderful windsurfing paradise of Sorobon, the impressive Goto Lake, the wild north coast or to the beautiful salt pans with the bright orange/pink flamingos and the slave houses. Kite city is an Eldorado for the kite surfers among you. In short, it will be an unforgetable week.

Diving:
We dive with Wannadive Bonaire a five star PADI IDC Dive Center with two locations on Bonaire. If you are a certified diver and are not taking a diving course, a 10 dive package is included together with 2-tank boatdive. The rental of the diving equipment is not included in the costs in this case (air and weights are included). For Nitrox divers, Nitrox is available at no extra cost. For divers who have not yet been certified, it is possible to obtain your open water diving certificate (see registration form). On the course-free day(s) it is possible to make various diving or other excursions. It is also possible to book more boat dives. This can be done on site.
Costs:
Including flights from and to Amsterdam, rental cars per three persons from the moment of arrival at the airport (20/5/2023) until departure from the airport (27/5/2023), accommodation based on 2 pers. in a 1 room apartment*, 6 days 10 dive package (air and weights) including 2 tank boat dives to Klein Bonaire (see "Diving") and the diving medicine course, the "as from" price is € 2975**. (see registration form for extras and discounts) This includes currently (January 4, 2023) known flight surcharges and dollar exchange rate**. The Marine park tax for divers ($45) and snorkelers ($25) and the Bonaire entry tax ($75) that replaces the tourist tax are not included and can be paid in advance from your home country. Information about this follows in the "Tips for our Trips" brochure. As people book later, the price may increase due to the reduced availability of airline seats***. The option on the rooms expires on February 14, 2023, which means that for registrations received after that date, given the great interest in Bonaire at the moment, no guarantee can be given for accommodation. Since airlines and our accommodation require a down payment, we ask you for a down payment of €800 upon registration. Given the beautiful, unique dive location and the great interest in the SHF diving medicine courses, it is to be expected that the course will fill up quickly.
*) based on availability
**) price adjustments by airlines, governments, hotels and currency exchange rates can be passed on. Dollar exchange rate 1 US$ = 0,90 euro
***) as flights fill up, seats become more expensive, so the later the booking, the more expensive the flights.
