About Us

  • Founded in 1976, the Scott Haldane Foundation was established to promote and expand knowledge of diving medicine among medical professionals.

  • Today, we continue this mission by delivering high-quality education and building an international community of experts in the field.

  • Over 2,100 physicians have been introduced to diving medicine through the Scott Haldane Foundation.

  • A maintenance system for certification has been implemented, supporting the continuous medical education (CME) of (recreational) diving physicians.

  • Internationalization of training and certification has been achieved, leading to recognition as Medical Examiner of Divers (MED) and Diving Medicine Physician (DMP) under the auspices of the European Committee for Hyperbaric Medicine (ECHM) and the European College of Baromedicine (ECB).
